Jadon Sancho's old Twitter account is pure gold

Jadon Sancho’s remarkable rise reached new heights when he made his first competitive England start against the Czech Republic on Friday.

Gareth Southgate trusted the 18-year-old to feature from the off as England’s Euro 2020 qualifying campaign got underway with an impressive 5-0 win.

And the Borussia Dortmund winger didn’t disappoint, producing a confident display that belied his youth and inexperience.

Sancho provided the assist for the first of three Raheem Sterling goals, meaning it’s now 16 assists this season for club and country.

He sits at the top with Lionel Messi as the players with the most assists in Europe’s top five leagues this season with 12. Not bad company to keep.

The former Manchester City man is destined for a bright future and it’s incredibly exciting to watch his journey.

“This was just another step in the seemingly unstoppable rise of Jadon Sancho,” wrote Sky Sports after his performance against the Czech Republic.

Sancho's old tweets

All this, and yet it seems that Sancho has forgotten to delete his old Twitter account.

The Dortmund man is operating under the more refined ‘@Sanchooo10’ these days, but his old account - ‘@JadonDonsancho’ - has now been discovered.

The last tweet posted from the account came on October 3, 2013 - Sancho was 13 then. And it features some gems.

It's very funny to look back on now, although Sancho probably wouldn't enjoy seeing what he wrote six years ago.
