It is no secret that Manchester City have spent a lot of money under Pep Guardiola.

Man City's owners seem to have limitless wealth and Guardiola has taken full advantage.

Since joining the club in the summer of 2016, the Spanish manager has spent roughly £550 million.

However, despite spending a ridiculous amount of money in the last three seasons, Man City have so far avoided any punishment for Financial Fair Play.

Many have voiced their disapproval of Man City's methods and Uli Hoeness did so too earlier this week.

Controversially, Bayern's president claimed Man City's owners raise the price of oil when Guardiola wants a player costing over €100 million.

“My friend Pep told me what happens when he signs a player costing €100million," he said, per the Mirror.

“He puts some videos together and goes to see the sheikh.

“There is an opulent feast put on, during which he teaches the video to him and the money is transferred.

“The next day, the sheikh raises the price of oil to recoup the money.”

Of course, that was never going to go down well with Man City.

The club are haven't taken Hoeness' comments well and are set to demand an apology.

The Mirror say that the matter has been placed with City's lawyers and if they don't get an apology from the 67-year-old, they are likely to legal action.

“It was the remark of a smug, arrogant egotist," a Man City source told the Mirror.

“We are also concerned that there may be a racist element to what Hoeness has claimed.”

This certainly isn't the last we have heard of this.
