After a lengthy wait, Tottenham Hotspur are set to move into their new stadium.The club will play the first match in their 62,062-capacity stadium against Crystal Palace on April 3.Construction on the £1 billion ground was delayed several times but it is now ready to host football matches, with Tottenham’s Under-18s playing Southampton on Sunday in the first of two test events.A crowd of 30,000 watched the game and it is hoped that 45,000 will attend next Saturday’s second test game, a legends match against Inter Milan.It marks the beginning of a new era for Tottenham, who have aspirations of competing for the biggest trophies in football, and the early verdict on the stadium is positive.

Daily Telegraph journalist Paul Hayward attended Sunday’s test event and he raved about the experience.
“Verdict on Tottenham's ground. It was worth the wait,” he wrote on Twitter. “Luxurious, but also a proper football ground. Fans will feel very lucky to come here.”
Tottenham's season ticket prices
Yet they will have to pay a fortune to do so.
The cheapest season ticket at Tottenham’s stadium is £795 for adults, £595 for young adults and £397.50 for young children.
The most expensive season ticket is more than £2,200. Tottenham are offering an '1882 Season Ticket' that costs £2,200 and comes with many benefits.
These are incredible prices to pay to watch football. As German football journalist Matt Ford points out on Twitter, season tickets to watch Borussia Dortmund cost £184.
The cheapest season ticket at Manchester City is £310.
The ‘1882 Season Ticket’ “gives you the opportunity to be in the thick of the atmosphere during the game.”
They cost £2,200 and allow fans access to a private bar, complimentary pre-match food, a programme and drink at half-time, as well as other benefits.
So it won’t be cheap to follow Tottenham in their new stadium.
After beginning a new era against Palace on April 3, Tottenham’s new stadium will play host to the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Manchester City on April 9.
