Portugal got their European Championship 2020 qualifying campaign off to a bad start when they drew against Ukraine on Friday.Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the team but he was unable to make an impact as the two sides drew 0-0.Off the back of that disappointing result, Fernando Santos' side needed all three points against Serbia. But, they got off to an awful start. After just seven minutes, Rui Patricio came out of his goal and gave away a penalty when he clumsily brought down Mijat Gacinivoic.

Dusan Tadic then sent Patricio the wrong way to give the away side the lead.

Portugal then suffered another blow as Ronaldo was forced off injured.

The 34-year-old pulled up when sprinting after a ball in what looked like a hamstring injury.

However, despite their best player going off injured, Portugal were able to restore parity just before half-time.

And they did it in some style.

Danilo Pereira doesn't score many goals; he's only scored one goal in his first 31 caps for his country.

However, he produced an absolute thunderbolt that no goalkeeper in the world would have stopped.

The 27-year-old picked up the ball just beyond the half-way line and strode towards goal.

He evaded a number of challenges before producing an unstoppable effort from 25 yards out that clipped the bar and went in.

Watch it below:

Wow. What a goal that is.

That's perhaps the best strike that Danilo has ever hit in his life.

Even Ronaldo himself would have been proud of that.
