Sir Alex Ferguson and Jurgen Klopp will have a dinner together to raise £100,000 for the NHS.

The legendary Manchester United manager was eager to raise some serious funds for the NHS after they saved his life following a brain operation last year.

All told, the Scotsman raised over £400,000 in total and a quarter of that was donated by BetFred's Fred Done.

And his £100,000 was spent on a dinner date with both Fergie and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, as revealed by The Sun.

It is unknown when the trio will be heading out, but what better way to raise some much needed money for the NHS?

A source at the event stated that Ferguson was in very high spirits as he continues his rehabilitation from surgery.

“Alex was in great form all night and had guests in stitches with his stories," the source claimed.

“It raised a lot of money but Alex was determined that all of it should go to the NHS.

“He’s always been a great supporter of them and that’s become even more the case since his health issues.”

Ferguson has played a pivotal role behind-the-scenes since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's arrival, regularly visiting the training ground.

The Scotsman's influence over the club is quite extraordinary and Gary Neville recently stated that no one should try and differ from Ferguson's philosophy.

"No one should ever be allowed to enter Manchester United's training ground or Old Trafford ever again to shape their own philosophy," Neville said, per Sky Sports. "That is done.

"Manchester United's philosophy is so deep and so meaningful, it's like Barcelona's and it's like Ajax's. At Manchester United you play fast, attacking football in an entertaining way. You bring young players through and give them belief. And you win."

Solskjaer appears to be doing just that...
