The race for promotion from the Championship seems to be a three horse race.With eight games to go, Norwich City are four points clear at the top of the table and are in pole position to return to the Premier League.Sheffield United currently occupy second, while Leeds United are a point further back in third.West Bromwich Albion are six points further back but look as if any return to the Premier League will be via the playoffs.Despite there being a few months of the football left to play, the Championship Team of the Season has been named.

Darren Randolph makes the side in goal with Middlesborough having the best defence in the league.

Jamal Lewis and Max Aarons, both of Norwich, fill the full-back options, with Liam Cooper and Reece James chosen at centre-back.

Jarrod Bowen, Oliver Norwood and Kelvin Phillips form a three man midfield, with Billy Sharp, Teemy Pukki and Che Adams in the forward positions.
