Manchester United have been rejuvenated since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho midway through the season.

The interim boss has got his side back into top four contention and also oversaw a stunning win against PSG, which saw the Red Devils reach the last eight of the Champions League.

Solskjaer has made such an impression that he's expected to be named as permanent manager very soon. Still, there will be plenty of work for him to do ahead of next season.

Despite catching up to the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal in the race for a top-four spot, Man United are still far behind Premier League leaders Liverpool and Manchester City.

So, making improvements to the squad will be necessary. And according to the latest reports, Solskjaer is 'on a mission' to land three England starlets to form the spine of his team.

The Sun suggests that Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jadon Sancho and Declan Rice have all been made targets because the United boss recognises the importance of English players.

But, bringing the trio to Old Trafford could prove quite difficult.

Sancho would be the most expensive of the three, valued at around £80 million - however, it's unlikely that Borussia Dortmund would let him go for that.

Rice and Wan-Bissaka could both cost around £40 million each, which would bring United's summer spending to £160 million on English players alone.

But, signing all three would show that Man United are prepared to build their team around three future homegrown stars.

Sancho and Rice have been on international duty with the Three Lions this week and both impressed during the win against the Czech Republic.

Wan-Bissaka, 21, is yet to be called up to the senior squad, but he's expected feature in the near future - and a move to Man United would certainly boost his chances of that.

Whether Solskjaer lands his rumoured top targets or not, it looks set to be a busy summer of spending at Old Trafford.
