Few football players have had the privilege of playing for three of the world's biggest clubs in their career like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo joined Manchester United in 2003 and spent six trophy-laden years there before moving to Spanish giants Real Madrid in a world-record deal.

Nine years at the Bernabeu saw the Portuguese forward break numerous goalscoring records and inherit the title of Mr Champions League.

Last summer he embarked on a new adventure with Juventus in Serie A and he's on course to add the Scudetto to his ever-growing trophy collection.

Add all of the above to winning Euro 2016 with Portugal and Ronaldo is largely in a league of his own.

He's also been blessed with some world-class teammates down the years, so we've taken a look at the best players Ronaldo has played alongside and made a starting XI out of them.

In goal we have...

GK - Iker Casillas (Real Madrid)

Ronaldo has played with some outstanding goalkeepers down the years, like Edwin van der Sar at United, but Casillas was the world's best during his prime at Real.

RB - Gary Neville (Manchester United)

Eight-time Premier League winner, 85 caps for England and 20 years at United - Gary Neville is an easy pick at right-back.

CB - Nemanja Vidic (Manchester United)

Nemanja Vidic was an absolute rock at centre-back alongside Rio Ferdinand, who only misses out because of how good his old partner was.

CB - Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)

One of the best centre-backs of the 21st century, Sergio Ramos has won everything at domestic and international level.

LB - Marcelo (Real Madrid)

Marcelo and Patrice Evra are both worthy of playing left-back in Ronaldo's ultimate XI, but Marcelo just about edges it thanks to his technical ability.

CM - Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid)

Pin-point passing, discipline and an eye for long-range screamers made Xabi Alonso a dream to play with. He was phenomenal at Real, not to mention Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

CM - Paul Scholes (Manchester United)

Zinedine Zidane, Patrick Vieira and Xavi have all said down the years that Paul Scholes was their toughest ever opponent. Who are we to argue with them?

CAM - Kaka (Real Madrid)

Kaka never quiet hit the same heights at Real following his €68.5m move from AC Milan in 2009 - injuries took their toll - but he still dazzled in spells.

RW - Ryan Giggs (Manchester United)

Ronaldo on one wing and Ryan Giggs on the other was an absolute nightmare for defenders during the mid-noughties. The Welshman was one of the best at United.

ST - Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

Wayne Rooney was around the same age as Ronaldo when he joined United in 2003 and together they became two of the best players in the world.

LW - Cristiano Ronaldo

The great man himself - you couldn't possibly leave Ronaldo out of his own XI, could you? Some would say he's a footballing God.
