Eddie Hearn has suggested Wladimir Klitschko would still be among the top five heavyweights in the world if he made a return to the sport, following rumours he has received a three-fight offer from DAZN.

DAZN have reportedly offered up to $60 million for a three-fight contract and Klitschko's agent Tom Loeffler is keen to see Deontay Wilder's name as one of the three.

Having fought the other two major current heavyweights, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, before his retirement, Wilder is the last of the three major players yet to step into the ring with the Ukrainian.

Although no announcement has come out from Klitschko's himself, Hearn believes that a return for the formally all-conquering boxer could be on the cards because of the level of opponent he may be able to face.

"No, I think Klitschko’s had a couple of exploratory chats with people," said Hearn, per The Metro.

"Again, I don’t think there’s much movement or nothing is imminent. But that’s the business of Wladimir Klitschko.

"I think it’s always going to be tempting for a heavyweight of the past to return when he sees how big and active the division is right now.

"One of Klitschko’s problems is for all those years he never really had the dance partners."

43-year old Klitschko competed from 1996 to 2017 and held the heavyweight title twice during his time in the sport.

Known for his incredible knockouts and towering size, the Ukrainian would still be very much feared if he was indeed to return to the sport that he left nearly two years ago.

His agent Tom Loeffler also told Sirus XM: "Wladimir had such a good championship run that a lot of people want to see him back in the ring,"

"I don't know whether he's content with what he's accomplished."
