It’s set to be a very busy summer at Real Madrid.

During a disastrous campaign in which they’ll finish trophyless, Los Blancos are now on their third manager.

Julen Lopetegui was appointed in the summer but was sacked October, while Solari lasted five months.

Now, Zinedine Zidane has returned to the club.

Zidane won three consecutive Champions League titles in his previous spell before he left following their latest European triumph last May.

But it’s believed upon his return, Zizou has been promised a rather hefty transfer kitty to get Real back challenging for trophies once again.

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have been linked but so too has Paul Pogba.

And during the international break, Pogba admitted it would be a ‘dream’ to work with Zidane at the Bernabeu.

"Like I've always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It's one of the biggest clubs in the world,” the midfielder said.

"There is also [Zinedine] Zidane as a coach and it's a dream for anybody who likes football.”

And now Zidane has responded.

When asked about Pogba’s recent comments, Zidane spoke of his admiration for his compatriot.

"I like him very much,” Zidane said.

“I know him personally and he is a player who contributes a lot. He is a midfielder who knows how to attack and defend and does everything quite well.

“But he does not play in my squad, he's at Manchester United and you have to respect that.

“If one day there is any chance that he wants to leave United, Madrid would be interested as is normal.”

We feel this ‘Pogba to Real Madrid’ narrative may rumble on in the months to come…
