Karim Benzema set a new La Liga record for scoring against every team with goal vs Huesca

Real Madrid left it very late to beat Huesca at the Bernabeu on Sunday night.

The visitors came into the game rock-bottom of La Liga but took a shock lead inside three minutes.

Cucho Hernandez, who's on loan in Spain from Watford, slammed the ball past Real's third-choice keeper Luca Zidane.

But Isco had things level on 25 minutes before Dani Ceballos turned the game on its head just after the hour.

With Madrid in front, they were expected to push on and secure a comfortable victory. But Xabier Etxeita had other ideas and headed in another surprising goal to make it 2-2.

It looked as if Los Blancos were going to drop points in rather embarrassing fashion before Karim Benzema popped up in the nick of time to break Huesca hearts.

The French forward shifted the ball out of his feet just inside the box before curling a superb effort into the far corner of the goal.

His finish handed Real all three points - and it also marked a very special personal achievement too.

Thanks to his goal against Huesca, Benzema has now scored against every single club he's played against in La Liga.

That's pretty impressive, considering he's faced 34 different teams since arriving at Madrid almost a decade ago.

What makes his record even more impressive, is that neither Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo have achieved the feat.

Barcelona's Messi has scored against 37 of the 40 teams he's played, failing to net against Cadiz, Murcia and Huesca.

Ronaldo, who left La Liga last summer, found the net against 32 of the 33 teams he featured against. Leganes were the only Spanish side to keep him out.

Benzema stands alone at the top then, having beaten both Messi and Ronaldo to at least one Spanish record.

He also overtook Hugo Sanchez, who left the league having scored against all of the 33 teams he took on - one less than Real's French forward.
