Not long ago, Tottenham were in a three-horse title-race with Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League. After their 1-0 win over Newcastle on February 2, Mauricio Pochettino’s side moved to second in the league table above Man City.Fast forward two months and Spurs are fourth following Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Newcastle on Monday night. Not only that, they’re in real danger of dropping out of the top-four as they sit level on points with Manchester United and one point above Chelsea.Their last-minute loss to Liverpool on Sunday, thanks to Toby Alderweireld’s own-goal, was their fourth loss in five league games. They drew the other one.

And it seems that kind of ‘bottling’ has seeped through to their Under 18 side.
They faced a massive mini north London clash against Arsenal on Tuesday with the South division title in their hands.
With a game in hand, Spurs sat one point behind the Gunners.
Victory would all but secure the title.
And that looked the case when they went 2-0 up inside 34 minutes.
Luis Binks was sent-off just before half-time for the visitors but it didn’t seem to make much difference as the game entered the final five minutes.
But Arsenal got one back in the 86th-minute, then Spurs scored an own-goal in the 87th-minute.
And, in the 91st-minute, Arsenal completed an incredible comeback with Ben Cottrell scoring the winner.
Arsenal are now four points clear of Spurs having played a game more. There are just two matches remaining.
At full-time, Spurs’ official Twitter account posted: “FULL-TIME - Our 10 men eventually found themselves overpowered as the hosts turned the game around with three goals in the closing stages. #COYS #AFC 3-2 #THFC.”
As you can imagine, the replies were full of Spurs fans slating their club’s ‘lack of bottle’
