Retired five-weight World Champion Floyd Mayweather has released close-up footage of his emphatic exhibition victory over Tenshin Nasukawa.

The American fought the Japanese kickboxer on New Year's Eve last year in a boxing bout and forced the Martial Arts man's corner to throw in the towel with just 140 seconds on the clock.

Mayweather uploaded two clips of the one-sided match-up on Instagram earlier this week, and they both display the brutality of Mayweather's victory.

It was clear that the 20-year-old Japanese fighter never stood a chance against one of the best boxers in the history of the sport.

The videos of his destruction of Nasukawa come as Mayweather is on holiday in the Phillipines, the homeland of former foe Manny Pacquiao, with 'Money' also showing off his hard work in the gym on his social media accounts.

Whilst the nature of the visit is mostly for leisure, it is believed that Mayweather is in the country in order to discuss a potential rematch between himself and Pacquiao.

The two appeared on camera together last year at a concert in Tokyo, with both confirming that they would be interested in a second battle.

They first fought back in 2015 after years of anticipation, and the bout itself was billed as “the fight of the century”.

In the end, however, it was somewhat of a damp squib.

Pacquiao, who complained of an injured right shoulder after the fight, appeared to be outclassed during a clash that offered little excitement, despite the two earning a fortune from pay-per-view purchases and the like.

The rematch would most likely represent a chance for the two fighters to set the record straight once and for all. They will both also be aware, however, that a huge pay-day, once again in the nine-figure range, would be on the table should they be so included to meet in the ring again.

Some developments are expected within the next few days.
