Manchester City are struggling to sell tickets for FA Cup semi-final v Brighton

We’re in April now and Manchester City are still in with a chance of winning every competition they have featured in this season.

Pep Guardiola’s side have already claimed the Carabao Cup. They sit at the top of the Premier League table with six games remaining and are through to the quarter-final of the Champions League.

Meanwhile, City will continue their quest to win the FA Cup when they take on Brighton in the semi-final on Saturday.

With Wolves and Watford going head-to-head in the other semi-final, the Premier League champions are the favourites to win the domestic cup for the first time since 2011.

Competing in four competitions into April will stretch any squad but the opportunity for more silverware will undoubtedly drive Guardiola’s players on.

But they might not be able to call upon the full support of their fans at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

That’s because City are struggling to shift all of their tickets for the semi-final.

City have returned 2,000 tickets

According to the Daily Mail, the Manchester outfit are unlikely to sell all their tickets for the encounter in London.

They have only sold around 25,000 seats for the match, having received an allocation of more than 30,000.

Indeed, City have had to return 2,000 extra tickets that were sent in addition to their allocation to the Football Association.

The club claim that the tickets that have been returned are the most expensive ones, reaching £120. All categories of tickets are still on general sale.

Some fans have also complained about the journey they face back to Manchester. The game kicks off at 5:30pm and the last train north from London Euston leaves at 9:24pm.

City will be rather accustomed to the capital after their upcoming fixtures, with three London games to come in eight days.

After the semi-final, they play Tottenham in their new stadium in the Champions League on April 9 and Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on April 14.
