Manchester City and England superstar Raheem Sterling has become a real hero during a tumultuous period for the beautiful game.Issues of racism have sadly been rife this season, but Sterling has used his profile to stand up and offer hope to those impacted by abuseHis mature words in the wake of racist abuse suffered by England players in Montenegro was yet another example of his leadership on the matter.Sterling really is one of football's good guys and it seems he has delivered once again.According to the Daily Mail, Sterling has personally paid for 550 members of his old school to attend Manchester City's FA Cup semi-final against Brighton on Saturday.

Sterling will also pay for the all the transport and will meet the pupils from Ark Elvin Academy at City's training ground on Thursday after they travel north from London.

A source told the Daily Mail: "Raheem wanted to do something for the kids from his old school and approached the club to see what could be done. They are going to come up and meet him and then they are going to watch him in action.

"It pretty much sums up the kind of guy he is. He hasn't made a fuss over it and he doesn't really want attention. It's just a decent thing to do."

City have actually been struggling to sell tickets themselves for the big game, as they have had to return around 2000 to the FA.

The club say that those tickets are the most expensive ones, with prices going up to around £120.

All tickets for the City end still remain on general sale, however.
