There's been a great deal of disappointment regarding the entire Dean Ambrose situation recently.

Fans are understandably upset that they may have seen the last of The Lunatic Fringe in WWE after it was revealed that he would not be signing a new contract and will leave the company after WrestleMania 35.

HEEL TURN

What didn't help his situation was that the WWE pulled the trigger on a heel turn which, on paper, should have been brilliant.

The original plan was that Ambrose would turn heel and then go on to face Roman Reigns at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Instead, The Big Dog's hiatus saw Seth Rollins enter the frame and Ambrose went on to portray the villainous role on Monday Night RAW.

However, not everybody was a fan of the decision - including The Kingslayer.

Fans have shared their disappointment at how Ambrose's heel turn fell rather flat. So much so, that it didn't take long before the company pulled the plug and turned him into a face again.

In a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Rollins explained that both he and Ambrose were against the heel turn entirely.

UPSET

According to Cageside Seats, he said: "The way that affected Ambrose, that wasn’t really his best look.

"No one wanted to see us fight each other, we had been through that, it didn’t feel good.

"I was upset, he was clearly upset and people didn’t want to see it, they wanted to see us be brothers and care about each other.”

Despite how horrible the feud and heel turn turned out to be, Rollins admitted that being able to compete alongside Reigns and Ambrose as part of The Shield one final time provided some closure.

He added: "At the end of the day, I was happy to have that one last match with my Shield brothers by my side.

"It was one of the most emotional experiences I’ve ever had in a wrestling ring and it felt so good.

"Whenever we’re back on the same side, it’s so easy, it’s so much fun. Knowing that was the last one, I think we all felt it, were able to soak it in and enjoy that match.

"That propelled me and gave me all of the momentum I needed heading into WrestleMania."

Now people are wondering whether the heel turn and Ambrose's feelings towards it contributed towards his decision to leave WWE.
