Neymar's transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018 was perhaps one of the most shocking moves in football history.

The Brazilian forward had become one of the best players in the world at one of the, if not the biggest club in the world.

However, there were rumours he wanted to leave and he later completed a €222 million to the French club.

But his time in France has not been a resounding success.

PSG won the domestic quadruple in his first season, but they were knocked out of the Champions League in the last 16.

And they seem to be following a very similar trend this campaign.

PSG have already won the Trophée des Champions and are on course to win the Coupe de France and Ligue 1.

But, once again, they were knocked out in the last 16 of the Champions League.

On a personal level, Neymar has impressed while on the pitch, scoring 48 times in 53 appearances for the French giants.

But his time in France has been injury plagued.

To make matters worse, there have even been reports that he is unhappy in France and regrets his move from Barcelona.

Barcelona's director said that in March last year, while reports emerged in January stated he had called Barcelona and 'begged them' for a return.

These reports have been rubbished by Neymar and his management team.

They have insisted that Neymar is happy in France but does not regret moving.

However, Neymar's former Barcelona teammate Adriano does not think that is the case.

The 34-year-old told the media that he recently spoke with Neymar and thinks he regrets leaving Barcelona more than any ex-Barca player.

"I spoke with Neymar about three weeks ago, all of us who have been in Barcelona and left repented and he believes that even more," Adriano told Cadena SER, per AS.

Neymar has consistently been linked with a move back to Spain, either to Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Adriano's words are only going to fuel speculation that he wants a move away from PSG.
