La Liga has been home to some of the highest-quality footballers in recent memory.

Clubs such as Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid all have an abundance of world-class players among their ranks.

Even teams lower down in the rankings have some promising talent at their disposal. Take Celta Vigo for instance.

Spanish striker Iago Aspas has amassed an impressive 83 goals since returning to the club in 2015 following a lacklustre spell at Liverpool.

This season, Aspas has managed 15 goals and four assists in La Liga. Despite this, the Sky Blue outfit have found themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap.

Aspas' lengthy absence through injury hasn't helped this in the slightest. But since his return, Celta have risen out of the relegation zone and into 16th place.

In the three games since returning, the 31-year-old has totalled five goals and two assists. Most recently, Aspas' two strikes during the side's 3-1 win over Real Sociedad last Sunday has given the club a glimmer of hope over their future in La Liga.

However, it appears that Aspas' dedication to the club goes even further.

Per Sport Bible, the Spaniard received a lucrative €7m per year contract offer from the Chinese Super League in January, but declined it to help Celta battle relegation.

True dedication.

It's clear what the club means to Aspas, the emotion he showed following the win against Villareal showed as much.

Celta Vigo haven't lost a game since Aspas' return, showing how he is single-handedly saving his club.

Sometimes the allure of big money moves to Chinese clubs can prove too much. Recent years, in particular, have seen a number of top European talent pursue these moves.

However, seeing a player turn down such an opportunity to help his beloved club - no matter how much they're struggling - is a heartwarming sight.

Celta are, for now, two points clear of the drop zone with seven games remaining. Should they survive relegation, Aspas will undoubtedly become a legend at the club.
