A lot has been said about Mohamed Salah this season. The Egyptian winger was quite brilliant in his debut campaign at Liverpool. He scored 44 goals in 52 games in the 2018/19 season and shattered record after record. But he hasn't fared as well this term.He has been very good, having scored 21 goals in 43 games, but he hasn't replicated the success of his first season back in England.

However, while his form has come into question, his desire to succeed has always been on show.

He emphasised that once again in Liverpool's Champions League quarter-final first leg tie against Porto.

Liverpool took an early lead but it looked as if Porto might draw level after breaking from a corner.

Salah had other ideas, though.

The forward sprinted back to cover for James Milner at left-back.

When the ball came in his direction, Salah easily won the ball back to end the counter-attack.

He then dribbled the ball forward and won a free-kick.

Not everything has gone Salah's way in the past few months, but his attitude to the game is still worthy of great praise.

Naby Keita gave the Reds an early lead after just five minutes.

The Guinean midfielder made it two goals from two games as his deflected strike made it's way past Iker Casillas.
