Liverpool fan caught in Spurs end giving 'five times' gesture to Manchester City supporters

Tuesday night was great for Liverpool fans.

The Reds took a huge step to the Champions League semi-finals as they defeated Porto 2-0.

Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino scored the goals as Liverpool won comfortably in the first leg at Anfield.

They will now travel to Portugal next week knowing they have a great chance of reaching the last four for the second consecutive year.

And Liverpool supporters will also be happy that Manchester City were defeated 1-0 by Spurs at New White Hart Lane.

The two sets of fans have struck up a rivalry in the past year or so.

Both clubs are currently embroiled in one of the most exciting Premier League title races in recent years.

And one Liverpool fan emphasised that rivalry on Tuesday night.

Instead of travelling to Anfield to watch her side win, one fan decided to take her place among the home fans at New White Hart Lane.

Man City would have a golden opportunity to take the lead on the night, but Sergio Aguero saw his first-half penalty saved by Hugo Lloris.

Pep Guardiola watches on as Man City lose to Spurs

And Pep Guardiola's side would go on to lose the game as Heung-min Son scored the winner with 12 minutes remaining.

The Liverpool fan clearly took pleasure in watching Man City lose as she was caught goading the club's fans.

A Man City supporter caught her on camera doing the 'five times' gesture at them; referencing Liverpool's five Champions league wins.

Very strange.

It's no doubt that nearly all of Liverpool's fanbase would have been happy that Manchester City had lost their first leg tie against Tottenham.

But to miss her own side's win to instead watch her bitter rivals lose? That is odd.

Regardless, her behaviour will still go down well with the vast majority Liverpool supporters.
