Liverpool at home to Chelsea in April as they go in search of their first ever Premier League title. We’ve heard that before, haven't we?Five years ago, Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool were within touching distance of winning the league with just three matches remaining.Seven points from those three games would have guaranteed the title. But Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea came to Anfield and played the ultimate party-poopers.

Mourinho made several changes with his side focused on their Champions League semi-final clash with Atletico Madrid, despite still being in the title-race themselves.

But they frustrated Liverpool from the very first whistle with their time-wasting antics and defensive style of play.

And when captain Steven Gerrard slipped in first-half injury-time allowing Demba Ba to breakaway to score, Liverpool’s title bid collapsed.

Chelsea made it 2-0 with the last kick of the game but the match will always be remembered for that Gerrard slip.

And despite the Blues finishing the season in third behind champions Manchester City and Liverpool, they still have fond memories of that day.

On Saturday night, the club’s official Twitter account decided to have a bit of fun and remind everyone of that day on 27 April 2014.

They tweeted a video of Gerrard's slip with the caption “Did someone say Liverpool v Chelsea?”

Very cheeky indeed.

Interesting that they didn’t even bother tweeting the Willian goal.

But one thing is for sure, the tweet had the desired effect.

That’s because it rattled plenty of Liverpool fans before this afternoon’s clash.

In truth, it’s all a bit of banter and people shouldn’t take it too seriously.

The only way Liverpool can get their revenge is by beating Chelsea and maintaining their title challenge.
