Tiger Woods has won the 2019 US Masters. The American started the day two shots back from Francesco Molinari. It looked as if the Italian would win his first title at Augusta but, he faltered after hitting the ball in the water on the 12th hole.He went on to double bogey that hole and his chance to win extinguished after he found the water once again on the 15th hole. His struggles gave a number of other players the opportunity to win, but it was Woods who would prevail.

Woods took the lead after birdieing the 15th hole.

He then birdied the 16th hole after coming within inches of a hole-in-one.

The 43-year-old built a two shot lead going into the final hole and, although he finished with a bogey, it was enough to win the Green Jacket.

It was also Woods' fifth title at Augusta and the 15th major win of his incredible career.

Woods has gone through a lot in since winning the 2008 US Open.

Shortly after his victory at Torrey Pines, Woods underwent knee surgery that kept him out for the remainder of the season.

Personal issues followed, while injuries to to his leg and elbow caused further problems.

He returned to winning ways in 2013 but a persistent back injury the following year threatened to cut short his career early.

Numerous comeback attempts ended in failure, but he finally won again at the Tour Championship in 2018.

And now, even months from that win, Woods managed to win the Masters.

Incredible, incredible comeback from one of the, if not the sport's best ever player.
