Minnesota United's new Allianz Field put every other stadium to shame with impressive facilities

MLS is one of the fastest developing football leagues in the world.

Over the last few years, a number of new franchises have been founded and we've seen a few new expansion teams join the league in recent years.

In 2019, it was FC Cincinnati who debuted and next season, we're expecting to see Inter Miami CF, who are partly owned by David Beckham, join the party.

Back in 2017, Minnesota United made their first appearance in MLS after being founded in 2010.

For over two seasons, the franchise played at TCF Bank Stadium, a ground they had to share with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, a college football team.

But that all changed on Sunday when they hosted the first MLS game in their brand new home, Allianz Field.

The stadium has been a long time coming and has been in construction since 2015 - but it was certainly worth the wait.

That's because the amenities it offers puts just about any other venue in the world to shame.

Minneapolis St Paul Mag took an early look around Allianz Field before fans arrived for the fixture against New York City FC on Saturday - and they weren't disappointed with what's on offer.

The north end of the stadium houses a 'Brew Hall' with no fewer than 96 taps serving local beer, with seating both inside and out.

The bar will also be open on non-game days and will show other football games, including the Premier League, on television screens. Nice.

The beer may be well stocked, but it's the range of food that really steals the show and the magazine details that concession stands sell varieties of food from all over the world.

Everything from Italian style deli sandwiches to 'West Indies soul food' are offered at different places around Allianz Field.

All the expected food is present with pizza, nachos and hotdogs available. But the foodies out there will be able to find salads, samosas and jerk chicken wings around the stadium as well. Not bad.

The full list of concession stands includes:

Hungry Loon - for a 'Handsome Hog Carolina BBQ Pork Sandwich'
Brasa - for a signature burrito (with vegetarian options)
Nice Slice - one for the pizza lovers

World's Fare - Lamb Sausage and other hotdogs available, as well as samosas
Hot Indian - pretty self-explanatory (for your curry needs)
Global Street Grill - more burritos and tacos here

Los Ocampo - the nacho stand!
West Indies Soul Food - Jerk Chicken Wings and other Carribean foods available
Cafe Beignet - the dessert station

Fry Club - Cheese Curds and Irish Stout Fish & Chips
North Star Deli - Sandwiches

Wow. That's quite an exhaustive list that has all your food needs covered.

Throw in the fact that tickets to see Minnesota United can be snapped up for as low as $20 and there may not be a fan experience to match it anywhere else.
