Barcelona vs Liverpool has all the makings for an incredible Champions League semi-final tie.The La Liga and Premier League leaders will go head-to-head after easing through their respective quarter-finals.Barca beat Manchester United 4-0 on aggregate, while Liverpool brushed aside Porto 6-1.And with Ajax facing Tottenham in the other semifinal, the winner of the Barcelona/Liverpool tie will really fancy their chances in Madrid if they progress. And there’s a bit of rivalry between the two clubs.

In recent years, Barca have taken Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho from Anfield and the Reds haven’t been too impressed with the behaviour of the Spanish club.

They constantly talked publicly about both Suarez and Coutinho when they were still Liverpool players - a move that didn’t go down well with chiefs and fans alike.

And there seems to be another battle ahead of the two legs.

Barca want to charge Liverpool fans €119 for a ticket to the first leg at the Camp Nou.

As a result, Liverpool will charge Barcelona fans €119 for their trip to Anfield.

But then, the Merseysiders will use the extra €31 per ticket to subsidise tickets for the 4,600 Kopites travelling to Spain.

That means Liverpool fans will pay €88 for a ticket.

"All away tickets are priced at €119, which is in line with FC Barcelona’s pricing structure for the knockout stages of this season’s Champions League," a statement on Liverpool's website read.

"As a result, LFC will charge Barcelona supporters a reciprocal ticket price of €119 in the return leg at Anfield on Tuesday, May 7. The additional revenue from this higher ticket pricing will be used to subsidise Liverpool supporters for their tickets, reducing the price by €31 to €88."

Brilliant.

Liverpool may well have taken inspiration from Manchester United.

They were met with the same challenge in the previous round with Barca wanting to charge United fans €120 for a ticket for the second leg.

They also responded by charging Barcelona fans €120 for an away ticket at Old Trafford and subsidised United fans that went to the Camp Nou.

Maybe Barcelona will start to learn that they're only harming their own fans...
