Arsenal eased into the Europa League semi-final after beating Napoli 1-0 in Italy. After a 2-0 win at the Emirates last week, Unai Emery’s side knew the first goal was always going to be crucial. And despite early pressure from Napoli, it was the Gunners who killed off the tie with the opener.Alexandre Lacazette lined up a 30-yard free-kick and curled it beautifully into the back of the net, past the static Alex Meret. It was a brilliant strike and it was effectively tie over.

Napoli now needed four goals to stand any chance of progression. But Arsenal never really looked in too much danger and they sailed through to the last four of the competition.

There was a negative to the win in Naples, though.

Midway through the first half, Aaron Ramsey limped off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

If it’s as serious as it looked, it could be the last time we see Ramsey in an Arsenal shirt before his summer move to Juventus.

But the north London side will face Valencia in the semi-final after they followed up their 3-1 first-leg win against Villarreal with a 2-0 win at home.

Arsenal will play the first leg of their semi-final tie against Valencia at home before travelling to the Mestalla a week later.

In the other semi-final, Chelsea will play Frankfurt.

Chelsea will play their first-leg away from home before returning to the Stamford Bridge.

Just like in the Champions League, there is a real possibility of an all English final.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea will be vying for a place in the final in Azerbaijan on May 29.
