Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore is hoping to survive the next month without receiving a phone call about star striker Adam Le Fondre.

With the window transfer about to open, the 23-year-old is bound to attract attention after scoring 16 league goals in just 19 games this season.

But Moore is keen to keep hold of his prized asset, who the Millers are desperately trying to tie down to a lengthy contract.

"I haven't had a phone call and I hope it stays like that until at least the end of the season," Moore told Press Association Sport.

"We are still talking (on a new contract). It's a long drawn out thing. At the moment the chief executive (Paul Douglas) is looking at it and that will be sorted out between those two."
