Manchester United were humiliated by Everton on Sunday afternoon, suffering a 4-0 defeat at Goodison Park.

First-half goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson had the Toffies cruising before Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott added two more after the break.

It was a real afternoon to forget for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, who are now on their worst run of away form since 1981 after losing five straight on the road.

Defeat at Everton also capped off a disappointing week which has also seen United dumped out of the Champions League by Barcelona.

Sitting at sixth in the Premier League table, there's a real chance they'll miss out on the competition next season and according to Jamie Carragher, enough is enough when it comes to two players.

Paul Pogba and David de Gea didn't exactly cover themselves in glory with their performances at the Camp Nou and Goodison Park.

The French midfielder failed to take control of either game - while the Spanish shot-stopper committed perhaps the biggest mistake of his career against Barca.

And Carragher believes it's time for the club to stand up to these two men over their ongoing contract standoffs and 'just get rid of them' if they refuse to play ball.

"I think about that with some of the Man United players. It feels De Gea is messing about with his contract, Pogba is the same," he said on Sky Sports before kickoff against Everton, per the Mirror.

"This idea that these players can't leave your club or it will all fall apart - It's Man United! It's one of the biggest clubs in the world, and you're not exactly pulling up trees with them anyway.

"So if people aren't showing the right attitude just make a decision, be a big club and a proper club and say 'OK. If you don't accept what we want to do, move on and we'll get someone else'. It's Manchester United!

"Never forget how big the club is and the power that they've got. Don't ever let these players dictate to the club about signing contracts, just get rid of them!"

It's hard to disagree with Carragher's stance over Pogba and De Gea and their poor performances against Everton further proved his point. Perhaps it's time to listen, Ole.
