Although the pay-per-view schedule has been adjusted, there's still plenty of excitement heading into the Money in the Bank event - as there is every year.

It's almost in the Royal Rumble bracket, where all of the havoc and chaos can ultimately create a future world champion whenever somebody unhooks the briefcase.

MONEY IN THE BANK

Plus, when kept a secret, it's always a nice surprise to see who the WWE has chosen.

However, it's not been the best of runs for some of the recent winners of the briefcase.

Huge names like Braun Strowman and John Cena are some of the stars that have failed to leave with a world championship after being crowned Mr. Money in the Bank.

Throw in Damien Sandow and even Baron Corbin - who's rumoured to be challenging Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship at the Extreme Rules event - and it's clear that the company hasn't always managed to create massive stars following the pay-per-view.

However, according to the Wrestle Votes, that could all finally change this year.

Ringside News has shared the update stating that there's a push within the creative team in the WWE to make a huge star this year.

HUGE STAR

As mentioned, the likes of The Lone Wolf and The Monster Among Men failing to cash-in has made the briefcase lose some of its shine.

So, the rumoured plan is to use the match as a platform to create a massive name out of the event which is something the fans will love.

Wrestle Votes tweeted: "Strong push within the creative team to really have this years men’s Money In The Bank winner coming out of the whole process looking like a STAR. The feeling backstage is that they have completely blown the winners & cash ins the last 2 years."

With there being a great deal of frustration within WWE right now, with outlets claiming that several stars have requested their release from their contracts, it would be a nice breath of fresh air to see the company go all-in on a brand new star rather than telling the same old story.

With both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown LIVE currently stacked, the company will have plenty of options and a tough decision on their hands when picking who they want as their next huge star.
