It’s one of the tightest title races in recent memory.

Liverpool and Manchester City are locked in a titanic battle and the race to the top continues on Friday, with already relegated Huddersfield traveling to Anfield for the penultimate Friday night game of the season.

Jurgen Klopp's side will be heavy favourites to beat the Terriers and continue to put the pressure on City, who saw off rivals Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Reds, trailing City by one point with three games to play, should have too much in attack for Huddersfield to handle, with 18-goal Sadio Mane recently named in the PFA Team of the Year.

Should they win, Klopp's side will put the pressure back on Manchester City ahead of their trip to Burnley on Sunday. This topsy-turvy title race looks set to continue to the final game of the season.

With the help of GIVEMEBET, we've taken a look at the three players who hold the key to another Liverpool victory this week.

Sadio Mane

Mane, along with Virgil van Dijk, has been a stand-out player for Liverpool this season. To date he has had his best ever league campaign for goals (18) and goal involvements (19) and his form was rewarded by his fellow professionals with a spot in the PFA Team of the Year - the only player in Liverpool’s forward line to earn a spot. Mane also opened the scoring for Liverpool in their last league game at Anfield against Chelsea so he's in good form (he’s 13/5 to do so on Friday).

Mohamed Salah

Salah will be keen to add a Golden Boot to his awards collection this season. Currently tied with Sergio Aguero on 19 for the season, Salah’s desperation to top the charts saw him attempt to wrestle penalty taking duties from club taker James Milner at Cardiff. Having found form at just the right time, expect Salah to take any chance to shoot on sight on Friday against a porous Huddersfield defence (he is also 13/5 to score the first goal).

Virgil van Dijk

While the goals of Mane and Salah have carried Liverpool to the brink of a league and Champions League double, the player of the season for Liverpool has no doubt been Virgil van Dijk. Since joining the club back in January 2018, no player has kept more clean sheets in the league than the Dutchman. But the defender has also popped up with some vital goals this season, three so far. He’s a real aerial threat, and should pose a problem for Huddersfield at set pieces (he's 16/1 to get the first goal)
