Manchester City took a huge step towards the Premier League title by beating Manchester United on Wednesday.

The derby at Old Trafford was among the toughest of the final few games remaining on City’s schedule and they got through it untroubled.

Goals from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane in the second half handed Pep Guardiola’s side a 2-0 win that leaves them in the driving seat.

With three games remaining, the reigning champions are a point ahead of Liverpool.

It means the Reds need help.

They will be praying that City slip up in any of their final three games, which are against Burnley (A), Leicester (H) and Brighton (A).

Meanwhile, Liverpool close the season against Huddersfield (H), Newcastle (A) and Wolves (H).

So Liverpool's season ends in disappointment after Man City win their final three matches.

The Reds are held to a draw by Newcastle but it doesn't matter in the end as City pick up nine points from nine.

Sergio Aguero's late goals seals victory for City against Burnley, and they win the title with an easy 3-0 win at Brighton.

Will FIFA's simulation prove to be true. Man City would love it to be.
