Australian tennis sensation Nick Kyrgios has displayed the ultimate act of chivalry by pushing a random woman’s car all the way home after it broke down on the side of the road in Canberra. The world No.35 is currently enjoying a break from his hectic travel schedule in his home town, when trouble struck on the quiet streets of the nation’s capital.Kyrgios had just finished up a practice session and was driving home when he noticed a young couple pushing a broken-down vehicle along the road side. The 23-year-old enigma then graciously offered to lend a hand and managed to push the vehicle all the way back to the owner’s home. When the work was done, Kyrgios posed for a cheeky selfie with the couple before going merrily on his way.The controversial tennis star has divided opinion amongst the sport’s avid fans over the years, but this selfless act of kindness just shows that the giant Aussie’s heart isn’t made of stone and he is a man of the people.Kyrgios then commented on the selfie via Twitter stating: “This sort of stuff shouldn’t be noticed, its an everyday thing, anytime."The 23-year-old has had an up-and-down season thus far, but won the Mexican Open in Acapulco and defeated Stan Wawrinka, John Isner and Rafael Nadal en route to his fifth ATP tour title. However, his emotions have simply got the better of him on too many occasions, culminating in an embarassing incident at the Miami Open, where he nearly got into a fight with a member of the crowd during his fourth round match against Croatia’s Borna Coric.

Kyrgios would go onto lose the match after being a set and a break up, and laid the blame on the chair umpire, who he claimed could not control the crowd.

Although his on-court antics have frustrated many of his opponents in the past, the former Wimbledon quarter-finalist has always remained a popular figure in the dressing room.

Andy Murray and Sascha Zverev are just two of the stars who not only respect Kyrgios as a player, but value his friendship off the court.

Time will tell if the Canberra native will fulfil his potential and become a Grand Slam champion one day, but no one can deny his vast talent and raw ability on a tennis court are joyous to watch at times.

The Australian No.1 was forced out of the Houston Open earlier this month to rehab a niggling knee injury.

He is yet to make an announcement on his return, but will no doubt be in preparations for a successful run at Roland Garros, a tournament in which he has never made it past the third round.
