Paris Saint-Germain blew a 2-0 lead in the Coupe de France final on Saturday evening, losing on penalties to Stade Rennais.PSG have won the last four finals, while Rennes went into the game having not lifted a trophy since winning the Coupe de France in 1971.And things started beautifully for the Parisians as Dani Alves scored a wonderful volley from a corner. Then things got even better as Neymar, making his first start since January, scored a fantastic chip to make it 2-0.An own goal from Presnel Kimpembe left it at 2-1 as half-time arrived, however, and Rennes equalised on 66 minutes from a corner of their own.

Extra-time would come and go without another goal - although there was certainly a noteworthy moment despite that.

In the 118th minute, Kylian Mbappe was shown a straight red card for a truly shocking tackle.

The 20-year-old stormed in with his studs raised, driving them into Damien Da Silva's knee and causing it to buckle.

You can watch the incident below:

It's awful from Mbappe and he can have no excuses over his red card.

PSG would have to face penalties without Mbappe and it would prove a step too far for the Ligue 1 champions.

The first 11 spot-kicks were perfect but 21-year-old Christopher Nkunku eventually missed, handing the trophy to Rennes.

It means that PSG have lost their grip on both domestic cups this year, having won both in the previous four seasons.

Thomas Tuchel may just have a reason to be worried about his future after this.
