What football fan doesn't love a good retro kit?Despite the amount of investment and technology that now goes into creating the modern day football shirt, you just cannot beat the classics. And it seems Arsenal have well and truly decided to jump on the bandwagon with their new kit sponsor Adidas.Pictures have leaked online of the new retro shirt set to be released by the sport manufacturer for the 2019/20 season. The shirt is inspired by Arsenal's memorable title winning season of 1988/89, when they famously beat Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield in the final game of the campaign.

Wow, that's a real beauty.

While the shirt will not be worn by players on the pitch, it will be available for fans to purchase.

No doubt we'll be seeing a lot of them in the stands at the Emirates come next season.

Arsenal's kit deal with Adidas is one of the most lucrative in world football, with the Evening Standard reporting that it will see the Gunners pocket £300m over a five-year period.

However, that figure of £60m-a-season pales in comparison to the mammoth £120m handed to Barcelona every season by Nike.

Having the mercurial Lionel Messi in your ranks probably helps your cause when looking for a sponsorship deal...

CAN ADIDAS DELIVER WITH THE KITS?

Arsenal fans haven't exactly loved the latest editions of their jerseys produced by Puma in recent years.

Adidas are renowned for producing some of the finest kits in the world, so supporters will be hopeful of having a shirt they can be proud of once again.

If they're anything like the beautiful retro shirt they have produced, the Gunners could be in luck.
