Lio Rush's arrival to NXT in 2017 was exciting, but no-one could have imagined he would be on the main roster in any capacity a year later.

Rush came to Monday Night Raw on his own initially, after a short time in NXT and on 205 Live, and put himself forward to Bobby Lashley to become his 'hype man'.

It would prove to be the start of a fruitful relationship, as under Rush's guidance Lashley captured the Intercontinental Championship twice.

Rumours have surrounded Rush's name for months regarding both heat on his name and the fact that Vince McMahon sees something in him, hence why he was given the role of Lashley's manager in the first place.

The tweet he posted about released WWE superstar Emma which stated: 'I guess these are the things that happen when you’re not TRULY ready for Asuka' landed him in hot water in 2017 and he did well to get himself in a prime spot on Raw just 12 months after.

But it seems as though the heat has gotten worse according to backstage reports.

Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the heat on Rush has gotten so bad that it's unlikely that he will be seen on the main roster ever again.

According to Sapp there are two incidents in-particular where he has rubbed the locker room up the wrong way.

The first was ignoring advice from an experienced figure in the locker room, Finn Balor, where he allegedly stated that Vince McMahon wouldn't like Rush's wife sitting in on rehearsals for the main roster shows.

Rush supposedly didn't react too kindly to the advice, and another incident where Rush reportedly told other WWE superstars that he planned to land a hit reality show with his wife also drew ire from sections of the locker room.

As of right now his status is under extreme scrutiny, and if it's true that the locker room wanted him out a long time ago, one has to wonder how long he will remain with the company as a whole for.
