Liverpool have the biggest of mountains to climb if they want to reach their second consecutive Champions League final.

It was always going to be a tough task to overcome Lionel Messi and Barcelona in the semi-final but that task has become almost impossible after losing 3-0 at the Camp Nou.

In truth, the performance from Jurgen Klopp’s side wasn’t bad.

But they fell behind after former Kop hero Luis Suarez poked home Jordi Alba’s cross.

If Liverpool fans had hoped Suarez wouldn’t celebrate out of respect for old employers, they would have been very disappointed.

Suarez wheeled away as if he had just scored a massive goal in a European Cup semi-final. He had - and it was his first goal in the competition this season.

But it wasn’t just the celebration that irked a few Liverpool supporters.

He was bickering with Andy Robertson for most of the match which led to an apparent half-time row between the pair.

This was Suarez in his finest s**thouse mood. The same s**thouse mood that the Kop used to worship.

The Kop used to chant “I just can’t get enough” in reference to Suarez’s incredible goalscoring record of 82 goals in 133 appearances.

Of course, Suarez wasn’t the only former Liverpool player on show on Wednesday night.

Philippe Coutinho also swapped Merseyside for Catalonia but had a less successful night as he was hauled off after 60 minutes, being whistled by his own fans for much of that hour.

But what reception will Coutinho and Suarez receive when they return to Anfield next week?

Considering Suarez’s antics and the fact they trail 3-0 in the tie, Liverpool fans may not be too welcoming.

That’s if one Liverpool fan gets his way anyway.

One Reddit user posted a thread urging supporters to boo Suarez and Coutinho ‘from first minute to last.’

They write: “Enough with faux respect to ex-players who won us jack shit. Only ex-players who won us something worth a damn like Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia deserve it.

“You don't want to be associated with Liverpool and chose another club to represent? That's fair, and it's also fair to boo you like any other player who plays against us. You play against us you are the enemy.

“Boo them the hell out at Anfield.”

And it seems the majority of Kopites are in agreement.

“Boo everyone from the last minute to the last if we want anything from this. It should be pandemonium,” one reply said.

Another said: “Boo them not because we hate them. boo them because we want our f***ing team to beat the crap out of their team.”

And third added: “Boo everyone. Boo Suarez and Coutinho. Boo Messi. Boo Ter Stegen. Boo Valverde. Boo their assistant manager. F**k Boo the mascots as well.”

“Show them no respect, just like Suarez showed us no respect the other night. If you act like a p***k you should get treated like a p***k,” an angry fan added.

While a fifth supporter thinks they should perhaps go one step further.

“Who's up for blasting fireworks outside their hotel at night? Or setting off their building fire alarm. Whatever it takes,” he suggested.

That’s maybe a bit too far, mate.
