Since retiring back in 2014, former super-middleweight world champion Carl Froch has made a name for himself with his outlandish and controversial comments that the media seem to love.Since his retirement from his 12-year boxing career, Froch landed a punditry job with Sky Sports, whose cast for boxing includes former rival George Groves.Groves, the British boxer who recently came out of retirement this year, has been subject to much of Froch's media charades. When he retired this year at the age of 31, Froch gave a controversial "tribute" to his formal rival, stirring the pot for what is truly the most exciting Sky Sports punditry pairing.Froch has not stopped there, the 41-year-old has told the media he wishes to complete the trilogy with Groves and have one last bout.

Froch told iFL TV with a straight face: “I’m not being funny or anything, but I’m happy for Froch vs Groves III. You’re talking about 175lbs, I can make 175lbs…

“Definitely, even though I am enjoying retirement, there’s definitely one more left in me.”

Upon his arrival to Sky Sports, he was greeted by his old promoter Eddie Hearn, with whom he shared the idea of a rematch with in front of a crowd of very intrigued reporters.

“I don’t think he’ll have it, but if he wants it… It does a million [pay-per-view] buys,” Froch said to Hearn.

“I think catchweight, 175lbs would probably be the lowest. I don’t think he’d even make 175lbs, I’m not giving him stick.

“I’m alright at a catchweight, I don’t mind giving a few pounds away.”

Groves caught wind of these remarks and completely blasted his former rival.

Seeing that Froch was talking about a rematch, Groves almost certainly put the matter to bed with this masterful response: "Mate. I've already retired you once, don't make me do it again."

This tweet was in response to one of Froch's that read: "I WOULD DEFINITELY COME OUT OF RETIREMENT TO FIGHT GEORGE GROVES AGAIN. ONE MORE LEFT"

While the former boxers' glory days are in the past, they will never let up with entertaining us in moments like these.
