Jose Mourinho has been reasonably quiet since his departure from Manchester United in December of last year.

The Portuguese has popped up on Russian TV to provide punditry but apart from that has remained out of the spotlight for the time being.

The Special One's reputation was arguably tarnished by his indifferent reign in charge of United, despite winning two trophies and achieving the club's highest finish since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure.

The 56-year-old has had a fantastic managerial career to date, winning league titles in four countries as well as winning the Champions League twice.

However, his tendency to fall out with players after a couple of years of success, suggests that Mourinho is merely seemed as a short term yet usually reliable fix these days.

Many have speculated where Mourinho's next move will be, with a return to Inter Milan or a potential reign as manager of Portugal in the conversation.

Well, according to L'Equipe there is one club in particular that is top of his list, and he is putting in plenty of work in preparation.

It has been reported that Mourinho has been methodically building his French contact list, by talking to a plethora of well established agents and former players.

It turns out this could be a ploy to convince the Emir of Qatar that he is the perfect solution to finally secure Paris Saint-Germain a Champions League title.

The association between the PSG and Mourinho is more obvious than at first glance, with the club's sporting director Antero Henrique being a key component in Mourniho's recent assistant Rui Faria becoming the boss of Al Duhal in Qatar.

AS Roma are the other club in question, who have had advanced talks with Mourinho over replacing the current interim boss Claudio Ranieri.

But L'Equipe reports that Mourinho is only willing to join the Italian outfit if they can qualify for the Champions League, as he is not willing to once again drop down to the Europa League.
