Tottenham knew a win against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon would ensure them a place in next season's Champions League. And they put in a good display in the first half at the Vitality Stadium. In truth, they should have been winning going into the second half. But, they were unable to find a way past Bournemouth debutant, Mark Travers. The 19-year-old made five saves in the opening 45 minutes as he kept Spurs at bay time and time again.

And Spurs were made to pay for not scoring the opener as they were reduced to 10 men just before the half time whistle.

Son Heung-min had spurned a number of good chances to give his side the lead.

And he let frustration get the better of him towards the end of the opening 45 minutes.

The South Korean forward inexplicably pushed Jefferson Lerma and was given his marching orders almost instantly.

Very out of character from Son.

It was a moment of madness and his red card was deserved.

And, amazingly, they were down to nine men just after the break.

Juan Foyth was brought on at half-time but was given a red card three minutes after the break.

According to Opta, Foyth was only on the pitch for 2 minutes and 13 seconds before he was sent off.

That's the quickest a substitute has been sent off in a Premier League game since Steven Gerrard vs Man Utd in March 2015.

It seems Spurs will have to wait another week to secure their Champions League qualification...
