Andy Robertson is having an immense second season at Liverpool. Not only has the Scotland captain helped his side concede just 22 goals in the Premier League, but he's also provided 11 assists.Only Ryan Fraser (14), Eden Hazard (13) and Christian Eriksen (12) are above him in the top assists chart, which is remarkable for a full-back.Robertson has been one of Liverpool's most consistent performers since he joined from Hull City in 2017 - a move that cost just £8m.He's become indispensable for the Reds and on Saturday night he played an important role in the 3-2 win away to Newcastle.Liverpool scored a last-minute winner to claim all three points and return to the top of the Premier League, which Robertson thinks is testament to their mentality."That's us down to a tee this season," he said of the dramatic victory at St James' Park. "How many times have we done it?"How many times have we been written off and people think 'OK, this isn't going to be our game' or whatever? We just keep on coming back and we keep on scoring goals. I can't explain it."But if we don't do it next Sunday and [Manchester] City are crowned champions, we can be proud of what we've done. We are in there, we've stuck together and hopefully we get 97 points."If that's not enough then we've done everything that we can. It would obviously be gutting but these lads don't know when to give up and that's why these things happen."Robertson has become a fan favourite at Liverpool both for his solid performances and likeable personality. And he once again showed his class after the Newcastle game by staying inside St James' Park until 11pm giving interviews with the press and spending time with Liverpool fans. The rest of his teammates were long gone and back on the team bus by this point, but Robertson wanted to give something back to those who watched the game.

"Andy Robertson is a class act," wrote Sky Sports' Keith Downie on Twitter. "11pm last night, and long after the rest of his teammates had escaped to the sanctuary of the team bus, he’s inside St James’ Park, conducting endless interviews and spending time with Liverpool fans. The boy has never changed."

Expect nothing less from Robertson, whose humble journey from playing in the Scottish third division to being one of the world's best left-backs has been nothing less than inspiring.
