Manchester City survived a huge scare against Leicester City on Monday night. After Liverpool's win against Newcastle on Friday night, Pep Guardiola's side needed a win to regain their lead at the top of the Premier League table with a game to go.But they struggled to break down a resolute Leicester side.It was eventually an unlikely source that proved to be the hero for the home side, with Vincent Kompany popping up with a screamer to give the home side a narrow victory. The Belgian defender unleashed a powerful effort from 30 yards which drilled past Kasper Schmeichel and into the top corner.

It really was an unstoppable effort.

Not many, if any, would have expected that to go in.

And Sergio Aguero was one of them.

The Sky Sports cameras captured a funny exchange between Aguero and Kompany after the game.

The Argentinian forward can be seen telling Kompany: "I was telling you, don't shoot. No Vinnie! No!"

Quality. That notion was also shared by Pep Guardiola, who originally wanted Kompany to pass the ball.

Speaking in his post match press conference, Guardiola said when asked about his thoughts just before hi shot: "Don't shoot! Pass the ball, pass the ball! But, he took a good decision.

"Honestly, I wasn't too confident [when he shot] but football is mad for that.

"The artists are the players, they have to decide things in a fraction of a second and what's important isn't the goal, it's him shooting while believing he was going to score.

"He's a big believer and that helped us to win the game. Now we don't have games every three days, he's not young and to be consistent is difficult for him every three days, but when we have a game once every week, he's an incredible player."

And Raheem Sterling posted a tweet which also expressed his feeling about Kompany's goal.

"My face screaming: "NOOOO VINNY WHY U DO THIS" so hard. What a hit boi!!! Captain Incredible," he wrote.
