No matter what the outcome is on Sunday, Liverpool can be proud of the season they’ve had.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have accumulated 94 points this season, a record total for the Merseyside outfit and they can still rack up three more come Sunday evening.

The Reds have taken Man City right down to the wire as both sides will have their title fate decided on the final day.

A City defeat away to Brighton could hand Liverpool their first Premier League title if they come out on top against Wolves.

However, with Pep Guardiola’s men winning their last 13 league games, the chances remain slim.

Odds are also against them in the Champions League too as they will have to endure an uphill battle tonight in attempting to overturn a three-goal deficit against Barcelona.

However, it’s been a season full of highs for the Merseysiders nonetheless and pundit Gary Neville has heaped the praise on their squad, labelling five players he feels are ‘irreplaceable.’

Talking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Neville said: "Liverpool’s squad depth has been criticised all season.

"The likelihood for me is that if Liverpool had suffered with injuries, they would have struggled.

" [Mohamed] Salah, [Roberto] Firmino and [Sadio] Mane have been almost ever-present. So have [Virgil] van Dijk and Alisson.

"Those are the five players that I call irreplaceable at Liverpool.

"If any of those had been injured for long periods, I think Liverpool would have struggled."

Firmino, Mane and Salah have accumulated a staggering 54 goals between them this season with the latter on course for another golden boot.

Up the other end of the field and van Dijk and Alisson have played a vital role in keeping the joint-most clean sheets alongside City with 20.

Liverpool’s Dutch defender also clinched the PFA Player of the Year award last month as he rounds off a brilliant first full season in a Reds shirt.
