Liverpool are through to the Champions League final after beating Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield.

Now read that sentence again, because it actually just happened.

Having lost 3-0 at the Camp Nou last week, no one gave Jurgen Klopp's men a chance of recovering in the second leg.

But goals from Divock Origi (2) and Georginio Wijnaldum (2) turned the tie around to leave Lionel Messi and co. stunned.

Liverpool have produced some special European nights at Anfield - the 4-3 win over Borussia Dortmund in 2016 sticks in the memory - but nothing compares to this.

Barcelona are widely regarded as the best football team on the planet right now. Messi is widely regarded as the best football player in history.

And yet Liverpool scored four goals to win 4-3 on aggregate and book their place in the Champions League final for a second season running.

Incredible.

Liverpool fans will never forget this night and the scenes after the final whistle inside Anfield were simply breathtaking.

As the players gathered in front of the Kop and put their arms round each other, the fans started singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" at the top of their lungs. Even the players joined in.

Watch the spine-tingling footage below.

Nothing compares to European nights at Anfield.

Liverpool will find out their opponents in the Champions League final on Wednesday night when Ajax host Tottenham in the other semi-final second leg.

Ajax are winning 1-0 on aggregate heading into the game and look very strong, but Liverpool will fancy their chances against either team after beating Barcelona 4-0.
