Liverpool fans: Tuesday night was not a dream. You really did watch your side beat Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield.Jurgen Klopp’s men completed one of the most remarkable comebacks in their 126-year history thanks to two goals each from Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum.Three-nil down from the first leg and without Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool faced a seemingly impossible task in front of their home fans. However, the Reds defied the odds and will now face either Ajax or Tottenham at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid on June 1.Klopp is still looking to win his first trophy for the Merseyside outfit, three-and-a-half years after his arrival, but the impact he’s made at Anfield cannot be understated. He’s transformed the team and turned them into one of the best sides in Europe.

He’s one of the most popular managers in Liverpool’s history and he further endeared himself to the club’s fans in his post-match interview after the match.

Astounded, emotional, exhausted and almost lost for words, Klopp spoke from the heart in his interview with BT Sport.

But he also couldn’t resist dropping the F-bomb - despite giving it some thought first.

“It’s 10 past 10, most of the children are probably in bed, but these boys are f***ing giants,” he said.

“It’s unbelievable. It’s unbelievable! If you have to fine me. I’m not native so I don’t have better words for it.”

He added: “They are mentality giants.

“It’s just not possible. I saw James Milner crying after the game on the pitch. It means so much to all of us. And I mean to all of us, I really mean all of us. It’s the best place of football.

“There are more important things in the world but creating this kind of emotional atmosphere together is so special and getting tonight the reward for that is just… but it’s all about the players.”

Back in the BT Sport studio, Gary Lineker refused to apologise for Klopp’s bad language.

"I've been asked to apologise on behalf - but I'm not going to,” the former England striker said.

“He's perfectly entitled to say that. He can get away with that, it's after the watershed. Well done Jürgen."

Superb stuff.
