Liverpool are going to the Champions League final in Madrid.

After last week's 3-0 loss at the Camp Nou to Barcelona, that sentence never looked like it was going to be written anywhere.

But last night, Jurgen Klopp's side produced perhaps the greatest comeback of all time to beat the Blaugrana 4-0 at Anfield.

Braces from Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum gave Liverpool a deserved win on the night to book their place in the final.

The visitors were dreadful pretty much throughout as they were simply unable to match Liverpool's intensity and pressing.

What makes the result even more astounding is the fact the Reds were missing Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita from the start.

Then, with the score only 1-0, key left-back Andy Robertson was subbed off at half-time after being kicked by Luis Suarez.

Not bad pulling off that kind of result without four key men...

After the game, Robertson was asked about his clash with Suarez and he gave a quite brilliant response.

The Scotsman simply replied when asked about the Uruguayan: “I don’t care, who’s going to the final?”

Fair play, Andy.

Klopp will be hoping that his star left-back can shake off the injury he picked up during the game before the final in Madrid.

While James Milner deputised admirably in his position in the second-half, Liverpool simply are not the same team without their marauding left-back.

Robertson has provided 11 assists in the Premier League alone this season and is so key to Klopp's side as an attacking force.

Regardless of who progresses out of Ajax or Tottenham, Liverpool will go to Madrid as the favourites to claim their sixth Champions League crown.

What a job Klopp has done on Merseyside.
