Jurgen Klopp played a massive role in Liverpool's comeback against Barcelona.

There is just something about the German manager that pervades determination and belief, driving his Liverpool on to one of the greatest Champions League turnarounds in history.

It's no coincidence that all the Liverpool players were hugging him a full-time and stood alongside him as the Kop belted out 'You'll Never Walk Alone' at the top of their voices.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know that Liverpool sensationally reversed the 3-0 defeat they suffered at Camp Nou - featuring a Lionel Messi masterclass - last week.

Divock Origi continued his run of crucial goals by scoring twice against the Blaugrana, arriving either side of Georginio Wijnaldum's sensational brace off the bench.

Klopp perfects Barcelona tactics

It was an incredible performance from everybody involved with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Jordan Henderson and many more playing out of their skins.

However, whenever there is such a dramatic comeback in football, fans always wonder what the manager said at half-time or in this case, ahead of the second leg.

Rafael Benitez has given insight into his team talk during the 2005 Champions League final and now Dejan Lovren has lifted the lid on Klopp's inspirational speech.

Klopp's dressing room speech

You can just tell from the sidelines that Klopp is an incredible motivator and Liverpool fans have been given some fascinating insight from the club dressing room.

"Congratulations to Klopp," the defender told the club's official website. "Before the game he did an amazing speech.

"It was something brilliant and I think he lifted us so high. It was just 'Believe! Put it in your mind that we can do it'. It was something that we've never heard before.

"He said: 'Boys, believe. One or two goals, even if we don't score in the first 15, 20 minutes, believe in the 65th, 66th, 67th minute that we can score, and then with Anfield behind us, trust me guys, we can do it.

"'We did it once against Dortmund, we can do it tonight. Just show f******* balls tonight.' And we did it!"

You can just imagine Klopp bellowing that to his Liverpool squad.

Besides, as the staff at BT Sport know all too well, Klopp isn't afraid to drop a few expletives and it clearly fired up the Liverpool players before they took to the pitch.

It's also interesting to note that Lovren believes Klopp has never made a speech quite like it, despite preparing the squad for a number of massive games over the years.

However, just as Klopp stressed in his speech, the key to success was believing that the comeback was possible and Liverpool duly brought it to reality.

And now, the German has plenty of time to prepare his rally cry for a Champions League final against either Ajax or Tottenham. We just know it will be epic.
