To reach the Champions League final without signing any player in the previous summer is pretty remarkable. But that’s exactly what Tottenham Hotspur have done.Mauricio Pochettino’s side have failed to strengthen their squad in the previous two transfer windows. And yet they have pretty much secured a top-four finish in the Premier League this season and now reached the final of Europe’s elite competition. That's pretty remarkable. In fact, their most recent signing was a certain Lucas Moura.

On the final day of the January transfer window in 2018, Moura joined Spurs from Paris Saint-Germain for £23 million.

And it was the Brazilian who sent his side through to the Champions League final with an incredible second-half hat-trick against Ajax.

It was an incredible performance from the winger, who produced a world-class performance in the absence of Harry Kane.

In fact, it was such a good display that he was given 10/10 by French newspaper L’Equipe.

Ok, that might not sound too impressive.

But Moura is just the tenth player in history to receive a perfect score by the publication - who are notoriously harsh - since 1946.

Suddenly, it seems slightly more impressive, doesn’t it?

‘But who are the previous nine players to receive 10/10 from L’Equipe?’ We hear you ask.

Well, let’s take a look:

1. Franck Sauzee (France U21 v Greece, 1988)

2. Bruno Martini (France U21 v Greece, 1988)

3. Oleg Salenko (Russia v Cameroon, 1994)

4. Lars Windfeld (Aarhus v Nantes, 1997)

5. Lionel Messi (Barcelona v Arsenal, 2010)

6. Lionel Messi (Barcelona v Bayer Leverkusen, 2012)

7. Robert Lewandowski (Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid, 2013)

8. Carlos Eduardo (Nice v Guingamp, 2014)

9. Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain v Dijon, 2018)

10. Dusan Tadic (Ajax v Real Madrid, 2019)

After his perfect performance, Moura couldn’t hold back the tears as he watched back his 96th-minute winner to send Spurs through to the final.

"Of course it is the greatest night of my career," Moura said. "Three goals in the semi-final of the Champions League is unbelievable.

"It is an emotional day. Football is amazing, it gives you this special moment.

"We needed to give everything and when I scored the first goal it gave us a new motivation and I always believed in the fight, I am very proud of my team-mates.

"That is our game, the intensity, the aggressiveness - that is our game, we need to do it every game.

"I am so happy, so proud, everyone deserves it - my team-mates, the staff, everyone is amazing."
