Now that he's been cleared to fight for over a month now following his UFC 229 brawl suspension, many fighters have lined up to be the next opponent for Conor McGregor.
It's unclear as to when McGregor will return to the Octagon for another MMA fight, as he's currently on hiatus in order to try and secure an ownership stake in UFC as part of his fight negotiations.
One person that does want to fight Notorious once he settles things with Dana White is Anderson Silva, and he even says McGregor wants the fight too. They're just waiting on the UFC president to make it happen.
“Conor accepted the challenge, I accepted the challenge, we’re just waiting for the opportunity. Let’s go see.”

This is a fight which Silva has been consistently calling for for years, and McGregor has also shown interest. But White doesn't want it to happen.
That, however, it's stopping The Spider from slapping the UFC president with some business sense to try and get the ball rolling on making this fight happen.
He said: “Come on boss. Give this show for the fans, give this show for the big fans of the UFC. Two big guys, two big names, you know? It’s good money for you Dana, and good challenge for me, for Conor."
The one major obstacle that could stop this fight from happening is weight. McGregor's UFC Featherweight and Lightweight titles are two weight classes in which Silva has never competed in.
The Brazilian believes the two can come to a compromise on fight weight with the fight taking place at Middleweight.
"I believe I could cut my weight for 180, I believe McGregor could weigh for 180. That’s the good fight for me and Conor. That’s a good experience for the fans, especially the fans for this sport. That’s a super, super, super fight. Anderson Silva and Conor McGregor.”
Despite Silva's best efforts, this fight is unlikely to happen, but one can dream. For White, the fight that makes the most sense at the moment for McGregor is Donald Cerrone, but even that is up in the air right now.
In the meantime, The Spider will face Jared Cannonier at UFC 237 this weekend.News Now - Sport News
