The dust is still settling on the most dramatic week of Champions League football in the competition's long history. Two three-goal comebacks in two separate semi-final ties have had football fans' jaws dropped to the floor.Liverpool got the ball rolling by beating Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield on Tuesday night to overturn a 3-0 deficit. Then Tottenham got in on the act yesterday evening, coming from three goals down on aggregate to somehow progress against Ajax on away goals.Just to make it even more dramatic, Lucas Moura's winning goal was scored in the 96th minute.

It means we now have an all-English final for the first time since 2008 and it's yet another season without a Champions League trophy for the great Lionel Messi.

The last of his four came in 2015 and the Argentine did he all he could this time around, scoring 12 goals and assisting three more in his 10 games.

However, Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario is not happy that Messi has received little to no blame for his part in the Anfield collapse.

"Barcelona have a great team, and they have the best player in the world in Messi," Ronaldo said at an event for Santander Bank, per Marca.

"The other day I heard that when they lose, it's because of Valverde, Coutinho... but not Messi.

"And when they win, Barcelona win because of Messi. It's a tremendous lack of respect to all the players and the coaching staff."

While there could be an element of truth to his quotes, the fact still remains that Messi was Barca's best player on the night against Liverpool - which isn't saying much, we know.

Compared to the performances of Philippe Coutinho, Luis Suarez and many others, the Argentine was streets ahead.

And even in the aftermath of the game, he was criticised by Barca fans and reportedly 'squared up' to some at the airport, which we reported on HERE.

It's certainly going to be a tough summer for Messi, especially with the added pressure of another Copa America with Argentina.
