After Liverpool and Tottenham produced incredible comebacks on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively to reach the Champions League final, it was the turn of Arsenal and Chelsea on Thursday.

The difference was that the two London clubs went into their second legs as favourites to reach the final in Baku.

Arsenal had beaten Valencia 3-1 at the Emirates last week, while Chelsea earned a 1-1 draw away in Frankfurt.

Could they finish off their jobs in the second legs?

Well, despite an early scare, Arsenal breezed past Valencia with ease winning 4-2 on the night and 7-3 on aggregate.

But for Chelsea, it wasn’t quite so straightforward.

A 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge after extra-time took the match to penalties but Maurizio Sarri’s side held their nerve to book another all-English final.

The hard work now starts for Arsenal and Chelsea fans.

How on earth do they travel 2,468 miles to Baku, Azerbaijan on Wednesday May 29?

There are currently no direct scheduled flights between London and Baku in the week of the final.

A lengthy wait in Istanbul or Kiev would be required.

Train?

That would take four days, through seven countries, including 11 changes.

Drive?

Just the 58 hours.

But getting there is probably easier than actually getting tickets for the match.

That’s because both sets of fans have been allocated just 6,000 tickets for the 68,700 Olympic Stadium in Baku.

In comparison, Liverpool and Spurs have been allocated almost 17,000 tickets each for the Champions League at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium - a stadium with a similar capacity to the Olympic Stadium in Baku.

Arsenal have said the allocation is "disappointing" and presents the club with "extreme difficulties".

The Gunners state that they have approximately 45,000 season ticket holders and over 180,000 official members.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will have similar numbers.

Official tickets will be priced between £26 and £121 with the majority of tickets will cost £43.

Two London sides, somehow travelling 2,500 miles and play a 90-minute match that only 12,000 official fans of the club can watch in the stadium.

Madness.
