It has been a difficult season for Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain.The Brazilian superstar controversially left Barcelona in a world-record deal back in 2017 looking to step out of Lionel Messi’s shadow and become the central figure in the PSG project.Silverware hasn’t been hard to come by since his move, but Neymar is yet to inspire the Parisians to the prize they all truly want - the UEFA Champions League. While it’s all well and good winning your domestic league at a canter, the Paris side have been desperate to prove themselves on the continent for years now.Unfortunately, despite eye-watering investment on new players, PSG are still yet to make the last four of the prestigious competition, let alone going on to win it.

This year they crashed out unexpectedly at the hands of Manchester United, who completed a remarkable comeback to dump Neymar and co. out of the tournament.

It must have come as a difficult pill to swallow for Neymar, who was forced to watch on helplessly from the sidelines due to injury.

Now, the Brazilian skipper has been slapped with a three-match ban following an altercation with a fan in the aftermath of his side’s loss in the French Cup final.

Neymar appeared to strike the fan after taking exception to something that was said.

However, while Neymar has certainly been through some rough patches during his time in France, there have been other moments when he has made the business of playing football look frightfully easy.

There can be no denying that Neymar is one of the most skilful players on the planet and he has made many a defender look rather silly during his spell in Paris.

With the Ligue 1 title already wrapped up, the 27-year-old was up to his tricks once again on Saturday, producing a sublime skill to skip past an Angers defender.

Naughty Neymar, naughty.

Fortunately for the stricken defender, the ball went out of play and his blushes were spared but you can be sure he’ll be avoiding any replays of the incident anyway.

While most of us would have made a real fool of ourselves, Neymar makes it look so simple.

While some of his on-field antics may leave some with a sour taste in their mouth, you simply have to agree that he can be an absolute joy to watch sometimes.
